Job Description:

General Responsibilities:

• To receive, inspect and record shipments with products and supplies for both the hotel and guests. You will be responsible solely for Lost and found standard operating procedures and ensuring the guest has the lost item and satisfied in guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders. You will be responsible for shipping out all packages and logging them in follow up with accountability they arrive to destinations.
• The shipping and receiving supervisor must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills, organization and guest service skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to unload shipments as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers.
• The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately, take care of all lost and found guest issues and maintain organizational logs for a check and balance of what is shipped into the hotel and out.
  
  • Maintain a high level of sanitation, safety and organization.
  • Maintain a superior level of professionalism (grooming and uniform standards according to Playa guidelines).
  • Take responsibility of Lost and Found, Logging items, and following up with the guest to ship out and return items.
  • Handle shipping items for all departments of the hotel
  • Collaborate with team to procure a list of expected deliveries
  • Receive deliveries, inspect contents for damage, and verify orders against invoice/ packing slip
  • Notify leadership of damages/short shipped products and contact supplier to rectify
  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory products and shipments and coordinate the replacement with the supplier and or leader of the department.
  • Log all deliveries on in house receiving log and allocate them to designated area or department with internal verification signature.
  • Maintain accurate records of all deliveries.
  • Superior cleanness throughout all F&B departments and loading dock areas.
